How callers consent to CallRescue texts

CallRescue missed-call text-back program · operated by Evan R Bushey dba CallRescue, Denver, CO · Privacy Policy · Terms & Conditions

Call-to-action: the business's publicly listed phone number. The consumer initiates contact by choosing to call a phone number the business publicly lists (for example on its website, Google Business Profile, vehicles or ads). Before any text is sent, the caller hears a recorded notice that they will be texted, with message frequency, rates, HELP and STOP. No phone numbers are bought, imported or collected any other way, and no one is texted who did not just call the business.

The displayed call-to-action

Businesses may also display this notice next to their phone number. Whether or not it is displayed, the same notice is always played on the call before any text is sent:

Call us at (xxx) xxx-xxxx. If we miss your call, we'll text you back from this number. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Privacy & Terms.

Live example: our own demo line is displayed this way on the call-rescue.com homepage. Call (970) 592-2794 to experience the full flow below.

The consent flow, step by step

1
The consumer chooses to call the business's listed number. For example, a homeowner finds Example Plumbing on Google and calls about a leaking pipe.
2
If the call goes unanswered, the caller hears this recording before any text is sent (word for word):
"Thanks for calling Example Plumbing. We missed your call, so we're texting you from this number to help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out anytime. Terms and privacy at call-rescue.com/legal."
3
The caller receives a text from the business's number, identifying the business and including opt-out instructions:
Text message · from Example Plumbing
Hi, this is Example Plumbing — sorry we missed your call, we're out on a job. Are you calling about a repair, an emergency, or a quote? (Text STOP to opt out.)
Leaking pipe under the kitchen sink
Got it. And what area are you in, so we can route the right tech?
The conversation asks what the caller needs, where, and when, then passes the details to the business so it can call back. Message frequency varies, typically 3–5 messages per missed call. No marketing messages are sent.
4
The caller can opt out or get help at any time. These replies are sent automatically:
Caller textsAutomatic reply
STOP (also END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT)CallRescue: You're opted out and won't receive further texts from this number. Reply START to opt back in.
HELPCallRescue missed-call text-back for local businesses. For help, email evanbushey13@gmail.com or visit https://call-rescue.com/legal. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
STARTCallRescue: You're opted back in to texts from this business. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
After STOP, the number is never texted again by that business, even if it calls again, unless the caller texts START.
